Communication Scene - Advice on assessment centre modules

An assessment centre is the instrument with the highest predictive accuracy regarding a person's suitability for a specific position. According to the multimethodological approach, it consists of several modules and exercises, e.g. conversational situations and simulations, case studies, presentations, personality and motivation questionnaires and many more. In order to keep all diagnostic processes up-to-date with the latest techniques, developments, trends and challenges of the industry, it is sometimes necessary to revise or redesign exercises and modules. Here, we would like to support you with our diagnostic competency and scientific expertise.

With regard to the design of modules and exercises, we follow the principles of the classical test theory. Here, it is crucially important that the selected requirements and competencies are observable and measurable at least at two different times in the course of the assessment. It is required that all observations and evaluations are documented by means of individual observation sheets that help operationalise the competencies to be measured on the behavioural level and make them tangible for everyone involved. Another important aspect is to determine the individual competencies with a high degree of precision.

In addition to scientific requirements, the individual situation of the customer and the suitability with regard to the existing process are taken into account for the content-related design of the modules.
