»Digital implementation of potential analyses, assessments and management audit«
Due to the challenges that Corona brought with it, we faced enormous challenges in 2020 to transfer existing assessment centres, development centres and potential analysis into the virtual space. We usually use our virtual rooms at Zoom or Webex to accompany different preparation and implementation rooms in parallel. Alternatively, we are happy to use the client's preferred video conferencing tools such as Teams, BigBlueButton or Open Rainbow.
In our experience, the diagnostic quality of our procedures in virtual space is comparable to the procedures in in-person format.
In particular, the exercise types interview, role simulation, presentation exercises as well as test procedures are easy to transfer to the virtual world and, with the appropriate technical equipment and a stable internet connection, are not very susceptible to interference.
Greater challenges arise when transferring complex case studies into the virtual world: To what extent does the digital presentation of the information change the level of difficulty of the exercise? How can we ensure that the exercises are not copied? Which file formats fit the virtual world and how can I technically integrate video messages into the process, for example? The moderation and control of the observers also needs specific procedures and rules to achieve high-quality results.
